CSU Direct Admission Program

For students applying for fall 2027 admission, 17 CSU campuses are participating in the Direct Admission Program. Students who receive an offer of direct admission and apply to one or more of the 17 participating CSUs will be guaranteed admission into those universities, though not necessarily into the program of choice depending on its level of impaction. Some academic programs at participating campuses may have additional admission requirements.

Pick up a B-1 “Request for Work Permit” in the Career Center W112

To obtain a work permit, students must meet the following requirements:

  1. Legally Paid Employment: Employment must be legally paid and open to public access.
  2. Minimum Age: Students must be at least 14 years old.
  3. Workers’ Compensation: All employers must provide workers’ compensation insurance.
  4. Required Form: The employer must complete Form B-1: Statement of Intent to Employ a Minor and Request for a Work Permit, which also requires parent/guardian signatures.
  5. Academic & School Requirements: Students must:
  • Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0
  • Be on track for graduation
  • Maintain good attendance
  • Have no active disciplinary concerns
